About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Account Executive to drive new business growth in our commercial mid-market and enterprise segments. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a proven, self-directed seller who knows how to sell into security organizations and who can bring a warm network of relationships to accelerate pipeline from day one. You'll be a foundational member of the sales team, working directly with executive leadership to close early customers and help define our sales motion as we scale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, with a substantial track record selling cybersecurity or enterprise security software
• A demonstrated, active network of relationships with security buyers spanning both SOC/security operations (SOC leaders, CISOs) and AppSec/DevSecOps/software supply chain security that you can credibly reactivate to build pipeline quickly
• Experience selling to security operations teams and/or AppSec/DevSecOps teams — you understand how SOC workflows, alert fatigue, and analyst time constraints shape buying decisions on one side, and how code provenance and supply chain risk shape buying decisions on the other
• A proven track record of closing net-new logos, ideally with average deal sizes of $100K+
• Startup experience and mindset — you've sold in a fast-moving, high-growth environment before, know what that pace and ambiguity feel like, and are genuinely energized by the upside of getting in early rather than intimidated by it
• A self-starter's instinct — while we provide real process, playbooks, and enablement, you don't wait to be handed a task; you build your own cadence within that structure and go get pipeline moving
• Strong discovery and qualification skills; you ask sharp questions and know how to disqualify as well as qualify
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the polish to engage director-, VP-, and C-level security stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with modern SaaS sales methodologies (MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or similar) a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery through technical validation and close — for net-new commercial accounts
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities sufficient to consistently hit and exceed quota
• Sell into buyers our platform serves — security operations and leadership personas (SOC Managers, Directors/VPs of Security Operations, CISO), tailoring your pitch to how each persona evaluates and buys
• Leverage your existing relationships and book of business to generate warm introductions and accelerate early pipeline
• Run a consultative, discovery-driven sales process, using a structured qualification framework to identify technical fit, authority, and budget early
• Coordinate live product demonstrations and lead prospects through technical validation with support from sales engineering
• Partner closely with marketing on account-based campaigns, target account lists, and event/conference follow-up (tradeshows, CISO dinners, executive briefings)
• Work cross-functionally with sales engineering, product, and customer success to ensure smooth handoffs and successful onboarding
• Accurately forecast and maintain pipeline hygiene in CRM
• Represent CodeHunter at industry conferences and executive events as needed
