About The Position

As an Account Director at Sid Lee, you’ll be the key liaison between our clients and internal teams, guiding projects with clarity and vision. A key part of this role will be leading our partnership with a client in the healthcare space, steering their initiatives across multiple markets. While the client operates in a highly regulated industry, they remain deeply committed to bold, high-impact creative work, and you’ll help ensure that ambition carries through every project. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Group Account Director and SVP, Account Services to lead the client relationship, align on strategic direction, and ensure strong oversight across all workstreams. Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, you’ll build deep, trusting connections, fully immersing yourself in the client’s business challenges to help define their strategic direction. Your role will be instrumental in overseeing projects from start to finish, while continually looking for opportunities to grow and strengthen the accounts you manage. You’ll nurture a culture of collaboration within your team, ensuring that every member contributes to an environment where bold ideas can take root and thrive.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Leadership skills. You are an experienced thought leader who can organize, motivate and improve the creative thinking and output of those around you.
  • Business savvy. You are not only an account leader but you understand our clients’ business. You also understand and know how to run an agency business.
  • Strategic thinker. You can think strategically and apply critical and analytical skills to help shape the creative work and elevate ideas.
  • Growth mindset. You can leverage relationships in identifying opportunities to grow the business portfolio.
  • Entrepreneurial and invested. You thrive in smaller environments that require wearing multiple hats and love building things from the ground up. You are an experienced leader that can not only see the big picture and know how to run a business but also love rolling up your sleeves and diving into the trenches with the team.
  • Relationship builder. You know how to develop and maintain relationships with the internal teams as well as senior level clients and agency partners.
  • Coach + Mentor. You are able to pass on your experience to others through generous and patient mentorship of more junior members of the team.
  • Cultural player. You are a positive, collaborative and a contagious spirit who is integral to creating the agency spirit. Absolutely zero ego. Calm demeanor especially under pressure.
  • Must have experience working with clients in highly regulated industries. Experience in the pharmaceutical space is considered an asset.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop senior-level client relationships (internal/external), contributing strategic value.
  • Anticipate and address marketing needs with an expert knowledge of client’s business.
  • Grow existing business and participate in new business pitches.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Balance multiple accounts/workstreams, maintaining a deep understanding of status and developments.
  • Lead and oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand strategy.
  • Manage and optimize top-line growth and oversee profitability across accounts.
  • Ensure quality control in all phases, ensuring flawless execution and delivery.
  • Lead account review process and regularly engage leadership on progress.
  • Demonstrate a desire to innovate, change the course of things, challenge the status quo, and push the limits with the projects you lead.
  • Manage conflicts, provoke discussions, and make difficult decisions.
  • Be a “career manager” for your team, outline expectations, career paths and growth opportunities.

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this role is $100,000-120,000 CAD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
