About The Position

As an Account Director for Neptune Retail Solutions, you will be the primary point of contact for growing and developing an independent portfolio of small and mid-tier new and existing customers, selling both digital and in-store Neptune capabilities. This role is crucial for the continued growth of our organization and is dedicated to supporting one of our highest priority and strategic retail customers. You will operate as part of a multi-functional team focused on driving the evolving Target business and building strong partnerships with our customers and clients. This position involves selling digital and in-store programs across multiple categories within the retail store, with direct exposure to decision-makers. We are seeking individuals eager to learn and develop quickly to accelerate their industry knowledge and career growth within Neptune Retail Solutions. Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the consumer packaged goods industry; advertising and/or sales promotion agencies.
  • Deep understanding of CPG and retail industry.
  • Demonstrated results: Sustainably achieved or exceeded sales and profit goals in a business-to-business environment managing existing business and/or uncovering new business.
  • Fearless tenacity and curiosity to pursue new business and uncover new opportunities.
  • Motivated to over-deliver and be rewarded accordingly. Takes ownership and maintains best-in-class organization and follows through with clients.
  • Demonstrates ability to creatively negotiate winning deals for the customer and the company.
  • Highly analytical with ability to understand how to leverage industry data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) to develop tailored selling stories and solutions for clients.
  • Ability to confidently communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage current accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Build upon current and new relationships to close profitable business sales.
  • Drive growth, ensuring performance is aligned with overall company goals and profitability targets.
  • Generate leads and secure meetings with potential clients to understand their business and how Neptune’s Omni capabilities can solve the needs of the customers’ business goals.
  • Create and deliver client-centric campaigns utilizing Neptune tools & resources to deliver data-driven proposals.
  • Build recommendations based on data, insights, and financial forecasting models.
  • Engage with internal resources (Marketing, Digital Strategy, Consumer Insights, Operations, Finance, and Management) to uncover business driving opportunities and elevate client proposals.
  • Deeply understand the assigned book of business and maintain a weekly forecasting cadence and reporting on opportunities, client status, and closed sales.
