About The Position

Lead agency teams and client partners in the development and delivery of strategic and creative initiatives, solving complex business challenges. This role involves building growth-oriented, trusting client relationships, guiding and coaching account team members, and making proactive recommendations for account growth. The Account Director will manage expectations, partner with creative and strategic leaders to produce high-quality work, and serve as the day-to-day business lead on all accounts. Responsibilities include leading the planning and execution of initiatives, analyzing business results, monitoring industry news, contributing to case studies and award entries, fostering internal stakeholder relationships, and ensuring clients are informed about project status. The role also requires leading well-organized meetings, managing team members, and fostering relationships with partner agencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience and leadership within an advertising agency
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of business operations
  • Strong expertise in managing and coaching direct reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Collaboration Tools, especially PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Integrated creative experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

Responsibilities

  • Build growth-oriented, trusting client relationships that go beyond social and build a hunger for breakthrough ideas.
  • Partner with Group Account Director to help guide, advise, assist, and stimulate account team members by way of day-to-day coaching, regular feedback, and development conversations.
  • Make proactive recommendations on growth opportunities for accounts directed.
  • Manage expectations internally and externally through business savvy and effective communications.
  • Partner with creative and strategic leaders to create business-generating and award-winning work for our clients.
  • Day-to-day business lead on all accounts directed.
  • Lead planning and execution of strategic and creative initiatives in accordance with client’s objectives and budget limitations.
  • Contribute to the analysis and understanding of business results; contribute to the development of competitive landscape assessments and account plans.
  • Monitor client, competitive, and category news and be responsible for reporting to the internal team on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies on the brand you work on, supporting the team in the creation of creative award show entries.
  • Responsible for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including agency leadership.
  • Accountable for ensuring clients are consistently up-to-date on all projects/timing.
  • Conducts a tightly-led meeting and manages account team members to ensure internal and client meetings are well-run with clear agenda and actionable recaps.
  • Foster great relationships between partner agencies; responsible for delivery of pertinent information to partners.
  • Lead well-thought-out and actionable POVs.
