Job SummaryThe Senior Regional Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational performance of multiple manufacturing facilities across a defined region. This role ensures the effective delivery of both hard services (e.g., maintenance, utilities, capital projects) and soft services (e.g., janitorial, security, landscaping, catering), supporting safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, vendor performance, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management, ideally within manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years in a multi-site or regional leadership role.
  • Experience managing both hard and soft services in an integrated environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of building systems, maintenance strategies, and facility operations.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Financial acumen with budget and cost control experience.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel across regional sites as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), FMP, or similar credentials.
  • Experience with CMMS, CAFM systems, or IWMS platforms.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications.
  • Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., food, pharma, automotive).

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of facility operations across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of integrated facilities management (IFM) services.
  • Standardize processes, policies, and best practices across all locations.
  • Partner with plant leadership to support production uptime and operational goals.
  • Oversee maintenance programs for building systems, utilities, and manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental policies.
  • Manage capital planning, lifecycle management, and critical asset reliability.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.
  • Oversee delivery of services such as janitorial, security, landscaping, waste management, and food services.
  • Ensure service quality, hygiene standards, and workplace experience meet company expectations.
  • Optimize service models for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers across the region.
  • Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation from supply partners.
  • Develop and manage regional operating and capital budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial performance.
  • Track and report on financial metrics, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Champion a strong safety culture across all sites.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and corporate standards.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required.
  • Build strong relationships with plant managers, operations leaders, and corporate teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related initiatives and escalations.
  • Communicate performance metrics, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop regional facilities managers and site teams.
  • Drive accountability, engagement, and high performance across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
