About The Position

Oetiker is a leader in high-end connecting solutions for automotive and industrial applications. Our clamps, rings, straps, and quick connectors are used globally. This role is responsible for increasing and securing sales within an assigned territory, managing customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Supplementary business training in sales and marketing
  • Proven sales experience (3-5 years) as an account manager in a technical environment
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships
  • Ability to lead customer projects and manage contracts
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven success in solution selling and achieving sales targets
  • Knowledge of sales processes and principles
  • Technical and commercial understanding
  • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Ability to adapt to different markets, applications, and customer profiles, and to quickly learn new technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and spoken) in German and English
  • Strong intercultural competence and a highly collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (up to 40%)

Responsibilities

  • Increase and secure sales for customers in the assigned sales territory (primarily Southern Germany and Switzerland, with additional coverage of Western Austria and Northern Italy,)
  • Generate business opportunities and manage relationships by controlling the sales process using tools such as Salesforce and Show pad to manage opportunities, activities, and customer interactions
  • Ensure strong customer loyalty through proactive virtual interactions and on-site visits as needed
  • Takeover of customers from the Business Development team
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and internal processes
  • Report on key performance indicators (revenue, margin, opportunities, activities, closing rates, customer satisfaction)
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide technical support and on-site services
  • Support in gathering market intelligence and conducting competitive analyses
  • Work autonomous as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
