Account Development Associate
About The Position

This role plays a vital role in contributing to the overall success of the branch/location by providing direct support to the Account and/or Sales Managers to help the location meet established sales targets. The purpose of this role is to answer telephone calls and email inquiries regarding sales orders; may serve as a point of escalation for more complex or unique inquiries. This role will research and provide information regarding parts availability, tracking shipping information, and freight costs in response to inquiries. The Account Development Associate will develop quotes based on identified customer needs and assess customer requests and assist with expediting orders as needed.
Requirements
- Typically operates on a local level
- Does not have individual sales quota
- Works under moderate supervision of project managers to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls and email inquiries regarding sales orders
- May serve as a point of escalation for more complex or unique inquiries
- Researches and provides information regarding parts availability, tracking shipping information, and freight costs in response to inquiries
- Develops quotes based on identified customer needs
- Assesses customer requests and assists with expediting orders as needed
- Provides direct support to the Account and/or Sales Managers to help the location meet established sales targets
- Explains to customers on how a product operates or directs them to the appropriate personnel
- Contacts customers when necessary to follow-up on specific order situations (e.g., delays and backorders)
