Requirements
- Typically operates on a local level.
- Does not have individual sales quota.
- Success is tied to the performance of the branch/location.
- Works under moderate supervision of project managers to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls and email inquiries regarding sales orders; may serve as a point of escalation for more complex or unique inquiries.
- Researches and provides information regarding parts availability, tracking shipping information, and freight costs in response to inquiries.
- Develops quotes based on identified customer needs.
- Assesses customer requests and assists with expediting orders as needed.
- This role plays a vital role in contributing to the overall success of the branch/location by providing direct support to the Account and/or Sales Managers to help the location meet established sales targets.
- Explains to customers on how a product operates or directs them to the appropriate personnel.
- Contacts customers when necessary to follow-up on specific order situations (e.g., delays and backorders).
