This role plays a vital role in contributing to the overall success of the branch/location by providing direct support to the Account and/or Sales Managers to help the location meet established sales targets. The purpose of this position is to answer telephone calls and email inquiries regarding sales orders, and may serve as a point of escalation for more complex or unique inquiries. The associate will research and provide information regarding parts availability, tracking shipping information, and freight costs in response to inquiries. They will also develop quotes based on identified customer needs, assess customer requests, and assist with expediting orders as needed. This role typically operates on a local level and does not have an individual sales quota. Success is tied to the performance of the branch/location. The associate works under moderate supervision of project managers to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner. They will explain to customers on how a product operates or direct them to the appropriate personnel and contact customers when necessary to follow-up on specific order situations (e.g., delays and backorders).
