About The Position

Assist in processing documents for compliance with both federal and CN Policies and obtaining corrections of same, filing, data entry and follow up with outside sources.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) for Account Clerk I and II
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience for Account Clerk III
  • One (1) year of experience for Account Clerk I
  • Three (3) years of experience for Account Clerk II
  • Three (3) years of experience for Account Clerk III
  • Knowledge of Accounting software
  • Knowledge of Database software
  • Knowledge of Internet software
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
  • Some bookkeeping skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Data input skills
  • 10 key calculator by touch ability
  • Must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
