CalHR•El Centro, CA

About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Account Clerk III performs difficult and specialized clerical accounting duties involving the preparation and maintenance of financial and statistical records in manual or automated environments. The position explains rules, policies, and operations related to its assigned work area and may serve as a lead-worker, providing training and assigning work to fiscal support staff. It is the advanced journey level in the Account Clerk series. Incumbents either lead a group of fiscal support staff or apply detailed, complex subject matter knowledge of a specific program area or specialized system. The position prepares and maintains fiscal, statistical, payroll, work-time, and case records; processes financial documents and transactions; prepares reports; assists the public; and may operate and troubleshoot automated systems. This posting is for a bilingual position. Candidates selected for hire must pass the required Spanish bilingual certification examinations at ILR Level 2, Limited Working Proficiency. Employment requires a valid driver's license at appointment. Employees may need to drive their own vehicle, provide proof of insurance, travel in and out of the county for business, and provide staff support after hours.
