The Account Administrator receives and responds to routine client inquiries, maintains documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions, referring complex inquiries to more senior staff. This role prepares written correspondence and makes telephone calls to underwriters as requested by senior staff. The Account Administrator reviews and processes policies and endorsements for accuracy of coverage, policy, content, and form completion. They evaluate proposal policies with criteria outlined in a checklist and notify more senior staff of any missing items or areas of concern. This position assists in the renewal process by requesting and gathering enrollment, volume, and benefit summary reports. They also help produce employee communications such as newsletters, bulletins, and overhead presentations as requested by senior staff. The Account Administrator assists with financial reporting for renewals by gathering and compiling client details, executes any requested changes on policies, and periodically assists in loss-run requests. They extend expiring binders as requested by senior staff, respond to and fulfill requirements generated by the Renewal Assistance Program report, and update the report when a task is completed. This role also assists in the upkeep of carrier product information, enters data into the data management system and audits for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to established procedures, and maintains and keeps records of clients. The Account Administrator compiles preliminary numbers for promulgating experience modification, orders worksheets, issues and processes client invoicing, and assists in the research of invoice and billing errors. They acquire an understanding of insurance brokerage business and account servicing processes, research industry trends and governmental regulations, and perform other responsibilities and duties as needed.
