About The Position

The Access Representative supports hospital registration in the Emergency Department and Trauma Bay. The role verifies patient identity, gathers demographic and contact information, sets up accident claims, obtains signatures on hospital documents—including consent and financial responsibility forms—collects copayments, scans documents, completes registration work queues, and verifies insurance details. The representative completes required MSP and Advance Directives questionnaires for appropriate patients and prioritizes insurance coverages as primary, secondary, and tertiary while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient patient flow. Accurate registration data contributes to the organization’s revenue and reimbursement timelines.
