About The Position

Chenega is seeking dedicated Access Control personnel to join our site in Fort Meade, MD. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of facilities by screening employees and visitors, maintaining security through inspections, and interacting professionally with various personnel. The position offers a dynamic work environment, growth opportunities, and predictable hours with the possibility of overtime. The compensation for this position is $18.29/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Have no history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture in the past five years.
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
• Successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the site.

Nice To Haves

• Prior military, civilian, access control, or security guard experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control functions to ensure only authorized individuals enter our buildings.
• Conduct interior and exterior inspections, protect equipment, and control access to our property.
• Escort and interact with public and government personnel, and greet employees, VIPs, and the general public with professionalism.
• Maintain poise and self-control under stress, and assist emergency personnel as needed.
• Construct clear, concise, and detailed reports in English.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
