Access Control Technician
About The Position
Gorrie Regan is seeking an experienced Access Control Technician to join their growing team in Huntsville, AL. This role will support recent project growth within their federal and industrial business groups. The day-to-day responsibilities include driving to the Gorrie office or directly to customer sites. The position involves programming access control, video, and parking control systems, installing and troubleshooting field equipment such as readers, cameras, alarms, and control panels. The technician will also plan and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget. Key duties include performing quality assurance testing, obtaining final project acceptance from customers, providing end-user training, and conducting all work in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of computer software, electronic hardware, low-voltage wiring, and relay logic
- High mechanical aptitude
- Strong fundamentals in project management and team coordination
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with a focus on keeping all stakeholders informed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Comfortable working at heights up to 25' using ladders or lifts
- Willingness to perform physical tasks such as pulling cable and mounting devices on various surfaces
- Valid driver's license

Responsibilities
- Program access control, video, and parking control systems
- Install and troubleshoot field equipment (readers, cameras, alarms, control panels, etc.)
