About The Position

The Access Control position supports security operations at secured facilities. The role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and involves processing individuals into facilities, monitoring and controlling access, conducting inspections, and operating security systems and equipment. The schedule is part-time, Saturday and Sunday, from 1400 to 2200. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and strong communication and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting at least 50 pounds and prolonged standing, bending, stooping, walking flights of stairs, running, and demonstrating the ability to defend oneself or others.

Requirements

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to perform prolonged standing, bending, stooping, walking flights of stairs, and running.
Ability to demonstrate self-defense or defense of others.

Responsibilities

Report or correct unsafe conditions, procedures, or activities.
Take reasonable precautions to protect personnel health and safety.
Assist at various locations with processing individuals into secured facilities.
Conduct random inspections to ensure prohibited items are not introduced into facilities.
Secure areas as directed by post orders or security regulations.
Monitor closed-circuit television, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, and dispatch personnel as necessary.
Monitor facility access by verifying personnel identification and identifying government-issued badges.
Operate and maintain manual and computer-based access control systems, databases, and related equipment.
Operate fixed and portable walk-through metal detectors, X-ray equipment, and other equipment at pedestrian control points.
Perform other duties as assigned.
