About The Position

The Access Control Specialist (ACS) will be responsible for observing, inspecting, and reporting on construction site work to ensure the integrity of the technical and physical security of multiple sites. This role involves evaluating and developing physical, personnel, and technical security practices and procedures for various levels of defense-in-depth security postures. The ACS will produce weekly written reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tablet delivery systems, detailing activities, processes, investigations, anomalies, deficiencies, incidents, and adherence to Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 standards. Responsibilities also include identifying unauthorized materials through physical and personnel searches and technological tools, evaluating methods of technical penetration or unauthorized material placement using surveillance techniques, and reporting suspicious behavior, security infractions, and discrepancies between site blueprints and ICD 705 standards.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office programs, report development, tablet mechanics, blueprint reading, construction projects (personal, residential and/or commercial)
  • Background in providing security practices such as: executive protection, physical security, personnel security, site security, surveillance
  • Required to work weekends, holidays, overtime and travel to different site locations as directed by ACS management

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military (MOS to Include: MSG, Infantry, Technical Surveillance, Construction, Security Protection Details (WHCA, FAST, CQB) ability to read blueprints, develop, implement and follow physical and site security practices/ procedures
  • Comprehension of blueprint reading and ability to identify discrepancy in coordination with the ICD 705 to ensure SCIF construction is upheld to the highest standard
  • Working knowledge of construction safety, construction project cycles, and common nomenclature of material

Responsibilities

  • Observe, inspect and report construction site work to ensure the integrity of technical and physical security of multiple sites
  • Evaluate and develop physical, personnel and technical security practices/procedures for various levels of defense-in-depth security postures
  • Produce written reports or documents utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Tablet delivery systems to ensure activities/processes, investigations/anomalies/deficiencies, incidents, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 standards are delivered upon a weekly basis
  • Identify unauthorized materials with the use of physical searches, personnel searches, technological tools
  • Evaluate methods used to place technical penetrations or unauthorized materials by utilizing surveillance techniques, observing and reporting
  • Report suspicious behavior, security infractions, and correlations between site blueprints and ICD 705 standards to highlight anomalistic behavior
