About The Position

Join Amentum’s team of more than 500 front-line security professionals protecting critical national assets. The Access Control Specialist supports workplace and mission security for a U.S. intelligence community customer by controlling access to restricted areas and monitoring for prohibited or restricted items. The role requires vigilance, trustworthiness, patience, attention to detail, strong communication, customer service, and the ability to work independently and adapt to changing activity levels. This part-time position supports 24/7 operations. Employees must be available for an assigned first, second, or third shift, with shift times subject to a one-hour variation based on contract needs. Employees must work one weekend shift every weekend and be available for two major holidays and one minor holiday each year, as determined by Amentum. The work location is in a restricted mobile communication zone, so employees must be comfortable leaving their mobile device at home or in their car. The position is located on Oahu and requires an active TS/SCI with Poly, U.S. citizenship, a valid state driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Physical qualifications include specified corrected vision and hearing, normal fields of vision and depth perception, no color blindness, and the ability to stand continuously for four hours at a time.

Requirements

Currently hold an active TS/SCI with Poly.
Be able to work an assigned first shift (6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.), second shift (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.), or third shift (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.), with shifts varying by up to one hour based on contract needs.
Commit to working one weekend shift every weekend.
Hold and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be a U.S. citizen.
Currently live on the island of Oahu.
Read, speak, and understand English fluently.
Be comfortable leaving a mobile device at home or in a car because the assigned location is in a restricted mobile communication zone.
Be available to work two major holidays and one minor holiday per year, as determined by Amentum.
Have 20/20 vision, with glasses or contacts permitted, and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes.
Be free of color blindness.
Have normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart.
Have hearing correctable to normal levels with hearing aids; normal hearing is demonstrated by a pure tone audiometry hearing level of 0 dB or lower.
Be able to stand continuously for four hours at a time.
Be able to work independently during scheduled shifts.

Monitor and control employee and visitor access to restricted areas, confirming that individuals have proper access.
