About The Position

TENAX Technologies is seeking dynamic and reliable employees with exceptional customer service skills to serve as Access Controllers/Receptionists. The role involves staffing and operating C5ISR Visitor Control Centers across multiple buildings on campus. Successful candidates will be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the C5ISR Campus and their assigned work area, providing on-site security and controlling access to facilities. They will observe, detect, and report violations as directed by post orders, and may be required to answer questions and provide directions to visitors and tenants. Prior to duty, personnel must familiarize themselves with the campus layout, tenant agencies, and key locations. They must also know the location and usage of emergency equipment such as first aid kits, AEDs, fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and emergency callboxes, and be prepared to use them as necessary. The role requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 56 pounds.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills
High school or equivalent (Required)
Secret (Required)
Ability to Commute to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 (Required)
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to climb at least five (5) flights of stairs
Ability to lift at least fifty-six (56) pounds

Responsibilities

Staff and operate the C5ISR Visitor Control Centers located in multiple buildings across the campus.
Be thoroughly familiar with the requirements for the C5ISR Campus and work area that they are assigned to.
Provide on-site security and control access to the C5ISR Campus facilities, observing, detecting, and reporting violations as directed by the post orders.
May be required to answer questions and provide directions to visitors and building tenants.
Prior to arriving on duty, familiarize oneself with the name, address, and location of the C5ISR Campus, as well as the post orders of the assigned post.
Be familiar with each tenant Agency’s name and the locations within the C5ISR Campus of the most commonly sought-after offices or locations, such as service offices, conference rooms, restrooms, elevators, entrances and exits, the cafeteria, and parking areas, and shall provide that information to any visitor upon request.
Know the location of and usage instructions for the nearest first aid kit, automatic external defibrillator, fire extinguisher, fire alarm, and emergency callboxes, and shall be ready, willing, and able to use them as necessary and as required by C5ISR post orders.
