About The Position

We are seeking a qualified phone operator to join our Access Center team. Core responsibilities include scheduling patients for treatments by multiple providers and treatment areas, managing incoming and outgoing calls for patients, checking email daily to ensure timely communication, resolving customer issues and delivering exceptional customer service, utilizing the Well App to assist patients as needed and respond to inquiries, attaching all incoming fax reports to patient charts, creating and faxing x-ray scripts for patients to the appropriate locations, processing medication refill requests by forwarding them to the provider as patients call, generating work or school notes based on doctor recommendations and sending them to patients via email or fax, accurately entering patient demographics, insurance information, and other pertinent patient information into the computer, communicating using active listening, thinking/analysis, and appropriate professional response, managing the maintenance of the providers’ schedules, handling online appointment requests in a timely manner, providing translation assistance for Spanish speaking patients, and assisting team members with questions pertaining to scheduling. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone with patients
  • Candidate should be familiar with EMR
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
