About the Role At Element, we believe in creating opportunities for future talent to learn, grow, and gain meaningful workplace experience. As a Student Placement in our Acceleration Office, you will spend one month working alongside our Strategy and Transformation team, gaining exposure to a professional corporate environment and learning how large-scale business initiatives are planned, managed, and delivered. Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Strategic Initiatives, you will support day-to-day team activities while developing valuable skills in communication, collaboration, organization, and time management. This role is designed for a high school student who is curious, eager to learn, and interested in gaining firsthand experience in a corporate setting.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems.
  • Reliable, accountable, and able to manage assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Attend team meetings and capture key notes, decisions, and action items.
  • Summarize meeting takeaways and share information with team members as needed.
  • Help track and follow up on action items from projects and team discussions.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of spreadsheets, project trackers, and other business documents.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars.
  • Help organize and distribute information across the team.
  • Learn and use business tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Salesforce, Workday, and Degreed.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and administrative tasks.
  • Observe and learn how strategy and transformation initiatives are managed within a global organization.
