About The Position

Daikin is seeking students for its Accelerated Management Program (AMP) with a focus on Operations at its San Antonio, TX branch. This twelve-month program offers hands-on experience from the ground up, allowing participants to explore various facets of the company. The Operational Focus includes roles such as Counter Sales, Warehouse, and Inside/Showroom Sales, with an emphasis on developing leadership skills, providing accurate pricing and inventory information, and building relationships. The program aims to equip participants with the tools needed for success within Daikin, a leader in the HVAC industry known for its innovation and commitment to employee growth through training, mentorship, and opportunity.

Requirements

  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring satisfaction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurial Studies (or similar)
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (overall and major)
  • Possesses a broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education
  • Has no discretion to deviate from established procedures by performing structured work assignments
  • Work is closely supervised
  • Problems faced are not typically difficult nor complex
  • Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

  • Work face-to-face with customers while gaining product knowledge and learning our systems and processes
  • Hands-on experience with our products, including shipping and receiving materials
  • Further develop the daily skills needed to become a successful Branch leader, while building relationships with our customers and sales force
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Providing accurate pricing and inventory information
  • Developing and maintaining relationships
  • Help drive business development and prospecting
  • Managing Customer priorities: Learn the importance of meeting the customer’s demand for quick response times, on-site solutions, and on-time complete delivery
  • Manage all sales functions for existing and prospective customers
  • Visit our corporate location in Houston, TX to network and build relationships with corporate leaders and other support teams
  • Focus on new business development, meeting sales goals, and building relationships with key stakeholders
