About The Position

This program is designed for individuals seeking to develop a broad understanding of Vanguard's divisions, strategies, and initiatives. Participants will complete company-wide rotations, demonstrating an ability to assimilate into different areas, understand departmental objectives, and achieve rotation goals. The program emphasizes ownership and accountability for projects and assignments, as well as personal and professional development through active participation in meetings, training, and the creation of a personal development plan. Networking within the organization is encouraged to build a strong base of business contacts. The role involves utilizing appropriate tools for data analysis and presentation to support business decision-making, and making recommendations based on data insights. A thorough understanding of Vanguard's investment methodology, policies, procedures, marketplace, and systems is expected. Participants will engage in projects, collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, gather requirements, and implement solutions. Leadership competencies and strengths will be demonstrated throughout rotational and programmatic experiences. High-quality service is expected in all client interactions, utilizing CRM skills to build trust and effectively cross-selling Vanguard products and services when applicable. Special projects and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.

Responsibilities

  • Completes company-wide rotations, demonstrating an ability to assimilate into each area, understand the objectives of the assignments and specific departments, achieve rotation objectives, and take ownership and accountability for all projects and assignments.
  • Develops a broad understanding of the Vanguard Divisions, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates accountability for issues by accepting ownership throughout the problem resolution process.
  • Takes ownership of personal and professional development through: participation in program initiated meetings and projects, attending all training sessions required by the program or rotational assignments and creating and maintaining a personal plan to track development and accomplishments throughout the year.
  • Navigates the organization by securing a comprehensive network of business contacts that can be leveraged to complete assigned tasks.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to arrange, manipulate, and present data in a way that enables solid decision making for the business. Makes recommendations based on the data when appropriate.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and a thorough knowledge of Vanguard's investment methodology, policies, procedures, marketplace, and all relevant systems to complete projects as assigned.
  • Participates in projects. Works with various stakeholders to determine scope, gather requirements and data, recommend and implement solutions. Works with appropriate parties to plan, schedule, coordinate and manage business activities required to deliver project solutions.
  • Demonstrates leadership competencies and strengths in rotational and programmatic experiences.
  • Demonstrates high quality service to all client inquiries, including internal and/or external clients, by providing thorough and accurate information in a timely manner. Utilizes excellent CRM skills to establish effective and productive relationships in order to gain and maintain trust and respect. Effectively positions and cross-sells appropriate Vanguard products and services when applicable.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
