About The Position

The Academy Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily academy operations, including scheduling, facility usage, and program execution. This role involves recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating academy coaches and staff to maintain a high standard of instruction and professionalism. The manager will also foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on athlete development and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the position requires identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the academy’s reach, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients, organizations, schools, clubs, and governing bodies. The role also involves overseeing the maintenance and development of the department website and monitoring industry trends and competitor offerings. Collaboration with the marketing team for campaigns, support for promotional efforts, and assistance in brand development are also key aspects of this position. Ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for participants and gathering feedback for improvement are crucial for quality assurance and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Background in sports program management or recreation leadership
  • 2-4 years proven leadership and staff management experience.
  • Strong organizational and program development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with marketing and business development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for growing the sport of archery and developing athletes at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive archery curriculum for all skill levels, from introductory courses to high-performance training.
  • Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of programs, clinics, leagues, camps, and special events that meet the needs of varied clientele.
  • Ensure instructional quality, consistency, and alignment with industry best practices and competitive standards.
