About The Position

Empower Students. Build Independence. Create Meaningful Change. Bridgeway Academy is seeking compassionate, patient, and dedicated educators to join our team for the academic school year. This position follows the traditional school calendar, allowing employees to enjoy summers off while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with autism and other developmental disabilities. At Bridgeway, we recognize that exceptional educators come from a variety of backgrounds. While a teaching license is welcomed, it is not required. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners and helping students develop the skills they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Requirements

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, special education, behavioral health, psychology, social work, or related fields is preferred.
• Teaching license not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction designed to meet the unique learning needs of students with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student success.
• Support the development of communication, social, behavioral, academic, and independent living skills.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs), accommodations, and behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate closely with behavior analysts, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support each student's progress.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional practices, including visual supports, structured teaching strategies, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Support students during community-based instruction, vocational activities, and life-skills programming.
