About The Position

The Army Navy Business Group is seeking an Academic Training Analyst to support Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic (EWTGL) in Virginia Beach, VA. This role requires a senior trainer/evaluator with extensive experience in academic training and instruction, particularly within a Navy training command. The analyst will leverage a deep understanding of expeditionary warfare principles, doctrine, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), along with experience in naval fleet synthetic training (FST) and simulation program operations. Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements

U.S. citizen with Secret clearance.
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree.
Six (6) years of general technical and Functional Area experience (10 years in lieu of degree will be considered).
Five (5) years of senior trainer/evaluator experience.
Proven written and verbal communication skills at the junior management and senior executive level.
Ability to act independently and effectively manage multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity and deliverables.
Experience in use of MS Office (e.g., PowerPoint) products.
Five or more years of experience implementing academic training or instructing.
At least one tour at a Navy training command.
Broad understanding of expeditionary warfare principles, doctrine, and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).
Experience in naval fleet synthetic training (FST) development, execution and evaluation, and simulation program operation.
Excellent public speaking, presentation, and time management skills.
At least six years of applicable Training SME experience in: Conducting fleet training analyses to identify gaps, training needs, and solutions; Developing and modifying training event/exercise scenarios and curricula; Delivering training in person and/or online; Developing training curricula; Managing training projects; Designing custom training to meet Fleet and Joint/Partner Nation training objectives.

Nice To Haves

Recent tour in a USN/USMC staff operations department billet.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Expeditionary operations.
Recent experience in joint and naval exercises, war gaming, and exercise/event planning.
Familiarity and solid understanding of the Navy Composite Warfare Commander (CWC) concept, Fleet training policy documents, including the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP), Fleet Training Plan (FRTP), and Fleet Training Continuum (FTC).
Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification or experience as an Instructor at an USN/USMC training command.

Responsibilities

Provide academic training and education in person, via distant learning, or a blended approach.
Develop, maintain, and distribute instructional material including outlines, lesson plans, reference material, briefs, lectures, scenarios, animations, handouts, student and instructor workbooks, study guides, testing materials, critiques, and feedback.
Provide expertise in video software for the production of videos, training aids, and multimedia products.
Provide tailored teaching products and scenarios as approved by course instructors.
Assist in maintaining, updating, and standardizing the instructor certification program to ensure instructor knowledge and presentation skills meet current credentials.
Provide assistance to maintain the reference library (virtual and hard copy) of unclassified manuals, documents, and reference materials required for training, development, and curriculum maintenance.
Support curriculum review, development, and implementation for academics of warfare training requirements.
Provide analysis and recommendations for preferred course/instruction delivery methods, including face-to-face instruction and synthetic training delivery.
Coordinate closely with course/program leads to identify requirements.
Assist with augmentation and back-up support for synthetic and war-game operations.
