About The Position

This position is for a licensed professional who designs and delivers learning experiences for students in a 4th/5th grade Arts content area. The role involves organizing and facilitating the learning process using evidence-based instructional practices and technology. The teacher will participate in a community of learning to develop and refine skills for academic, civic, social, and emotional student success. Key duties include consistently evaluating student progress, making adjustments, communicating progress, and collaborating to improve learning opportunities. This position primarily works on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Requirements

Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.)
Meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Academy District 20 requirements
Academy District 20, Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education
Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and to learn functionality of new equipment and systems
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to create, access, input, retrieve, and manipulate information in various software systems
Ability to establish and maintain accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions including supervisors, administrators, coworkers, staff, students, parents, and the general public
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to greet and interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Develops and implements lessons that connect to a variety of content areas and disciplines; emphasizes literacy and mathematical practices
