This role is for a 4th Grade Teacher at Explorer Elementary School. The teacher will design and deliver learning experiences for students, organize and facilitate the learning process using evidence-based instructional practices and technology, and participate in a community of learning to foster academic, civic, social, and emotional success. Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, making adjustments, communicating progress, and collaborating for continuous improvement. The district reserves the right to modify duties. The teacher must report to work as scheduled, perform other duties as assigned, and attain proficient or higher evaluations. This role requires mastery of content, pedagogical expertise, and instruction aligned with Colorado Academic Standards. The teacher will develop and implement lessons emphasizing literacy and mathematical practices, foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment, and engage students with diverse needs. Collaboration with families is essential. The teacher will use formal and informal methods to assess student learning, integrate technology, establish high expectations, and promote critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Professionalism, ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership are expected. The teacher will assess student progress regularly, comply with laws and policies, ensure student supervision, and implement the district's educational philosophy. Instruction, assessment, and differentiation for all students' needs are key. Accurate record-keeping, availability to students and parents, and management of materials are required. The teacher will perform duties as directed, plan programs to meet student needs, supervise support staff and volunteers, and respond to safety/crisis situations. Technology integration, conflict resolution, and reflection on practice are also important.
