Part Time Academic Success Coach
About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Academic Success Coach to supervise students in its Homework Studio, a quiet study space with computer access that complements one-to-one instruction. The coach oversees students as they complete coursework-related assignments, practice study habits and executive function skills, and/or take exams, while motivating them to complete their tasks. Brightmont Academy provides one-to-one instruction for students in grades 1–12 in a personalized learning environment. Its teaching model includes tailoring instruction to individual student needs and learning styles and guiding students toward mastery through a gradual-release approach. The role does not involve lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning styles.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing a subject with students.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
