About The Position

Reporting to the principal of Early College High School (ECHS), the academic success coach is responsible for adhering to all Lorain County Community College (LCCC) policies and procedures. This role involves developing an individualized work plan annually in consultation with the ECHS principal, participating in the assessment of student academic achievement, and engaging in discipline-related activities and organizations. The coach will support the LCCC/ECHS mission, vision, and values. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of academic support to which assigned, reporting student deficiencies to the principal of ECHS and devising plans to help students. They will advise students in curricular and discipline-related matters when appropriate, support student achievement by reviewing course syllabi and student grades, and communicating with instructors, students, and counselors. The role also includes responsibility for specific core-subject intervention. This is a ten-month position, approximately twenty-five (25) hours per week.
