About The Position
Works directly with students, providing academic tutorial assistance in support of the material taught in grade 6 and/or grade 7 and/or grade 8 mathematics and/or literacy (reading/writing) classes. Needs to become familiar with Tutor.com to further assist students. Training will be provided. Gear Up Tutor-Mentors need to have transportation to their assigned middle school(s). The hourly rate is up to $20/hour, inclusive of transportation costs. No additional payment will be made for mileage.
Requirements
- Must reside in the state of Ohio
- Must be within commuting distance of the work location
- Must have transportation to assigned middle school(s)

Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and/or small-group tutoring
- Completing all necessary records and paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines
- Assisting with the development and use of instructional materials
- Performing other duties as assigned
