Provides direct student-facing support to undergraduate students enrolled at the university. Utilizes a wide range of software, student development theory, and retention-focused strategies. Working under direct supervision to support students by performing specific, articulated goals and outcomes. The Department of Psychology is actively seeking a fulltime Academic Success Advisors to provide academic advising to undergraduate Psychology and Neuroscience students including 2800 Psychology students and 800 Neuroscience students. The Academic Success Advisor acts as a key contributor to promoting student retention and graduation, supports and advises students in making timely progress toward degree completion through a range of in-person and virtual academic advising and support strategies. The Academic Success Advisor will be working with immersion and online students directly assisting with all aspects of student life at ASU. The advisor will help students learn about ways to connect academically and through student clubs as well as prepare for career and graduate school opportunities.
