About The Position

Monash Law is seeking exceptional academics to join their inclusive and collaborative team. These roles involve delivering excellent teaching to students and engaging in impactful research. Appointments are available across both Teaching & Research and Education-Focused positions, at levels B (Lecturer) and C (Senior Lecturer). Fractional and full-time appointments are considered. Teaching & Research roles contribute to the educational activities of the Faculty and University, while maintaining and developing scholarly, research, and discipline-relevant professional and engagement activities. Education-Focused roles primarily focus on providing excellent teaching and associated activities, including educational design, delivery, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Excellent and collegiate academics eager to contribute to the success of Monash Law.
  • Passion for educational excellence and rigorous, impactful research.
  • Outstanding academics in all areas of Law.
  • Ability to strengthen teaching offerings in areas such as Administrative Law, Contracts, Employment Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Statutory Interpretation.
  • Legal scholars who take all and any approaches to their research (doctrinal, historical, comparative, theoretical/philosophical).
  • Ability to build capacity and expertise in socio-legal and empirical legal scholarship and methodologies.
  • Ability to strengthen clinical expertise.
  • CV (maximum 8 pages).
  • Covering letter (maximum 4 pages) outlining interest and alignment with Key Selection Criteria.

Responsibilities
