Academic Instructor
About The Position
The Academic Instructor teaches in a regular classroom setting, delivering instruction in a designated subject area. The instructor fosters a positive and desirable classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation, maintains classroom discipline to support learning, and builds strong rapport with students. The role also includes maintaining student personnel folders and recording and forwarding daily attendance to the Student Records area. This position is with Eckerd Connects subsidiary CLS Jacksonville Job Corps. Job Corps is a nationwide residential career training program that helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete high school, prepare for careers, and obtain employment.
Requirements
- Must be certified to teach in the state of Florida.
- Must pass a drug screen in compliance with the Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is preferred.
