This position provides academic and administrative support for Center programs. The Academic Assistant III will assist the Associate Director of Academic Programs in organizing and coordinating undergraduate recruitment efforts, including potentially supervising a Student Ambassador program. Responsibilities also include advising undergraduate students, updating their records, and coordinating various outreach and recruitment activities such as classroom visits and tabling events. The role involves managing lists of student groups and activities, coordinating participation in university-wide events like International Education Week and Graduate Orientation, and compiling resources for recruitment purposes. Additionally, the position serves as a backup for the Graduate Coordinator for student financial transactions and tracking Graduate Assistant hours. The role also supports special projects, including travel competitions and student programs like study abroad and internships, handling administrative tasks from application to reimbursement. It involves maintaining lists of faculty for review committees, disbursing rubrics, and serving as a liaison between committees and the Associate Director. The Academic Assistant III will monitor competitions and deadlines, and plan the annual Fieldwork Workshop/Festival. The role also manages outreach activities and alumni databases, and collects and manages data related to undergraduate and graduate enrollment and events.
