This position provides academic and administrative support for Center programs. The Academic Assistant III will assist the Associate Director of Academic Programs in organizing and coordinating undergraduate recruitment efforts, including potentially supervising a Student Ambassador program. This role also involves advising undergraduate students, updating their records, and coordinating various outreach and recruitment activities such as classroom visits and tabling events. The position will coordinate the Center’s participation in university-wide events and assist with student-related events like Graduate Orientation. Additionally, the role involves compiling and maintaining resource lists for recruitment purposes, serving as a backup for the Graduate Coordinator for financial transactions and GA hours, and coordinating support for various Center travel competitions and student programs. This includes managing applications, payments, and maintaining lists of faculty for review committees. The Academic Assistant III will also plan and coordinate the annual Fieldwork Workshop/Festival, manage a database for tracking alumni and students, and support outreach activities. Data management responsibilities include tracking enrollment data, event records, and assisting in identifying areas for data collection.
