Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, this role administers academic and staff personnel matters for the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. The Academic Analyst serves as a key resource on personnel matters, providing analysis, policy interpretation, advice, and counsel to managers, supervisors, and all members of the department. This position facilitates compliance with system-wide, campus, departmental policies and procedures, and collective bargaining unit agreements. Strong, independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills are required. A broad knowledge of human resource practices, as well as an understanding of local, state, and federal employment and labor laws, is also necessary.
