Provide holistic academic advising to assigned student populations, including undeclared, probationary, and other designated students. Guide students in exploring academic programs, selecting majors, and developing educational plans aligned with their goals. Counsel students on curriculum requirements, academic policies, campus resources, and strategies for academic success. Serve as a member of the Campus CARE Team and provide appropriate follow-up and referrals for students of concern. Advocate for students by connecting them with appropriate campus resources and support services. Assist with new student orientation, advising, and registration for incoming first-year students. Maintain accurate advising records and documentation using university systems. Advise and assist with the registration of non-matriculated students and Daemen's High School program.

Requirements

• Master's degree required; one year experience with higher education (academic advising preferred).
• Dedication to student success.

• Possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality in a discreet and professional manner.
• Effective and friendly communication skills with a variety of students, staff, faculty, administrators, and parents.
• Proficient computer skills and experience (Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Proficient at learning new computer skills.
• Highly developed organizational skills.
• Self starter, skilled at and open to exploring ways to improve current systems.
• Multi-tasker.
• Detail and accuracy oriented.
