About The Position

MCS Holyoke is seeking ABA therapists/RBTs to join their Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. This is a per diem and part-time position with a pay range starting at $22.50 without RBT certification and $24.50 with RBT certification. The role involves monitoring client progress, supporting caregivers, collecting data, and implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst. The position requires reliable transportation and availability to work nights, early mornings, and weekends. New hires must become RBT certified within 6 months of their hire date and provide necessary health documentation.

Requirements

  • Works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • High school diploma or a general education development (GED), and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families
  • OR an associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution, and have six months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
  • Must be willing to become certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Have 3 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
  • Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the client’s progress on implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed and certified Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Provides coaching, support, and guidance to the parent/guardian/caregiver in implementing the plan
  • Collects data and conducting certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments)
  • Works closely with the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst to ensure the treatment plans and behavior intervention plans are implemented as developed, and reports to the licensed applied behavioral analyst if the client is not achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the treatment plan so that the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst can modify the plan as necessary
  • Assists the client in implementing the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Directly implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork including session notes, time sheets, travel reports, etc. according to the company guidelines.
  • Work required billable hours weekly
  • Availability to work nights, early mornings, and/or weekends
  • Become RBT certified within 6 months from hire date.
  • Provide documentation of a physical exam (every 2 years), proof of MMR, and Negative TB
  • Attend trainings as required (CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Cultural Competence/Awareness (Yearly), Other Trainings MCS offers)
