About The Position

FirstSteps for Kids is dedicated to helping children with autism and related learning differences reach their full potential through evidence-based, behavior analytic treatment. This role offers experienced RBTs the chance to deepen their clinical skills, take on more responsibility, and build a career in ABA, working directly with in-person BCBAs for real-time coaching and development. It's more than just an RBT job; it's an opportunity to build clinical and leadership skills, work towards BCBA certification with supervision opportunities, and foster lasting relationships with children and families.

Requirements

  • Experienced RBT or Behavior Technician
  • Enjoys working directly with children and families
  • Wants to keep developing clinically
  • Is interested in mentoring and supporting other Instructors
  • Values collaboration with experienced BCBAs
  • Is pursuing, or may eventually pursue, a career as a BCBA
  • Believes great ABA requires both clinical excellence and genuine care
  • Childhood vaccinations (MMR & Varicella), non-reactive TB test, and physical screening
  • Access to reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit on floors and/or child-sized furniture, and quickly move from a seated position to running stance

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality ABA therapy to children in center, home, and school settings
  • Implement individualized treatment plans with support from an in-person BCBA
  • Collect accurate data and communicate clinical observations
  • Partner with families and caregivers
  • Train and mentor new Clinical Trainees using Behavior Skills Training
  • Model strong clinical practice, teamwork, and professionalism
