About The Position

The Emerge Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by empowering children with autism and individuals with communication challenges to achieve independence through innovative and family-centered therapies. The Compliance Specialist works directly with the Director of ABA to provide administrative support to the department. The Compliance Specialist will oversee daily scheduling of RLTs. The Compliance Specialist will interview and manage the onboarding of RLTs. The Compliance Specialist will conduct monthly and quarterly audits across the ABA Department. This individual exhibits dedication to the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at the Emerge Center and demonstrates broad experience working with clients to support skill acquisition and decrease maladaptive behaviors.

Requirements

  • College degree from an accredited institution is required
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and their families is required.
  • Must pass state and federal background checks.
  • Must pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with ABA Administrative Team and HR to discuss staffing and training updates
  • Distribution of online training materials
  • Provide assistance across the organization as it relates to de-escalation of behavior
  • Work with BCBAs in creating and managing and distributing the daily schedules of the RLTs
  • Coordinate RLT onboarding and off-boarding requirements with HR
  • Provide clinical information to the Director of ABA weekly to keep department and organization in compliance with the standards set with outside entities (eg. high cost, etc)
  • Conduct Motivity and Soap Note reviews monthly
  • Create and manage the scheduling of carpool at The Emerge Center; along with The Emerge School staff.
  • Conduct quarterly, monthly, and weekly internal administrative (RLT licensure) and clinical (chart review) audits
  • Notify BCBAs of upcoming authorization deadlines.
  • Track weekly supervision.
  • Submit treatment plans.
  • Work with the Director of the ABA Department on external audits.
  • Provide support to Registered Line Technicians (RLT) and Advanced RLTs, RLT Trainer, and ABA Director as needed.
  • Ensure all paperwork, materials, and documentation are up to date and accurate.
  • Update and maintain data collection systems and disseminate pertinent information to the team.
  • Interact with staff, parents, and clients in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Assist with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments as instructed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst.
  • Assist with preparation of client materials as instructed.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
  • Abide by the code of ethics as published by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment including sanitizing toys, work surfaces, and seats as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
  • Acquire and maintain technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
  • Attend all required staff meetings.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
