About The Position

Cortica is seeking a BCBA to serve as the Clinic Director at their new location in Charlotte, NC. The Site Director is the senior leader responsible for all operational, performance, and cultural aspects of a Cortica center. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, including ABA therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, music therapists, clinical social workers, medical practitioners, and administrative staff, to provide comprehensive care for children with neurodevelopmental differences. The Site Director is responsible for translating Cortica’s strategic goals into actionable plans, ensuring operational and clinical excellence, and cultivating a collaborative, mission-driven culture. Requirements

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the state of North Carolina.
  • 5+ years of management experience in office settings, preferably in healthcare, leading cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years of P&L management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop clinical and administrative leaders across all service lines to build a high-performing, collaborative site team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement that aligns with Cortica’s values and care model.
  • Build leadership strength at the site by mentoring emerging leaders and ensuring succession readiness.
  • Serve as the primary owner of site-level performance, aligning daily operations with Cortica’s clinical, financial, and growth objectives.
  • Lead execution of site strategic goals in partnership with the Area Director, with attention to quality of care, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and operational flow across disciplines, optimizing resource utilization and patient throughput.
  • Identify and open new roles based on patient demand and site capacity needs and actively participate in the interview and selection process.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to refine hiring strategies and develop site-level solutions when hiring challenges arise.
  • Manage the site’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance by monitoring operational expenses, maintaining financial health, and executing strategies to drive revenue and contain cost efficiencies.
  • Use financial and productivity data to set targets, inform decisions, and hold teams accountable for performance.
  • Partner with finance and the area director on budget forecasting, invoice validation, and inventory oversight.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical leaders to ensure alignment with standards set by clinical excellence teams.
  • Actively engage in addressing complex client situations, service issues, or escalations in a thoughtful and empathetic manner.
  • Ensure the implementation and integration of the Cortica Care Model across all departments at the site.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, facility safety, and operational readiness at all times.
  • Manage the administrative team to ensure the facility consistently meets Cortica’s standards for safety, branding, cleanliness, and clinical excellence.
  • Oversee resolution of patient questions and concerns, ensuring timely, professional, and compassionate communication that reflects Cortica’s service standards.
  • Promote a psychologically safe and physically secure environment for all teammates, patients, and visitors.
  • Serve as a local leader for new initiatives, pilots, or process changes originating from the area or corporate level.
  • Partner with Area Director and corporate teams on expansion planning, new teammate onboarding, or center readiness efforts.
  • Represent the site in area or company-wide operational leadership meetings as needed.
  • Maintain a daily on-site leadership presence and ensure leadership coverage during regular business hours.
  • Lead and participate in site events, trainings, team huddles, and community-building activities.
  • Travel occasionally for trainings, conferences, or area initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
