Our Team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an A&T Technician II to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and have an onsite, 2nd shift work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assembly, testing, and process-based operations on complex solenoid components, assemblies, and electromechanical systems supporting new production, repair, and overhaul activities.
  • Use a variety of mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, specialized fixtures, tooling, gauges, and torque devices to ensure products meet required build and performance specifications.
  • Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of material, and other technical documentation while providing clear communication regarding performance results and production issues.
  • Set up and perform operational and functional testing of finished products using electrical, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment, fixtures, and tools to verify compliance with performance requirements.
  • Diagnose test failures and evaluate hardware condition to identify root causes and recommend rework instructions, repairs, or configuration changes needed to achieve desired results.
  • Perform soldering, wiring, coil assembly, and related electromechanical assembly tasks in accordance with quality and process standards.
  • Maintain accurate production, test, and inspection records while performing daily administrative responsibilities that support overall operations.
  • May travel to customer facilities or other company locations to support solenoid products and related hardware.
  • May work off-shift hours for short periods to support customer delivery schedules and business needs.
