About The Position

DPP is seeking an A&P Mechanic III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a 12-month W2 Contract role, requiring US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. The A&P Mechanic III will be responsible for the repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key aircraft components. This includes performing necessary checks on mechanical and functional components, testing, and replacing defective parts. The role involves using various tools and equipment for diagnosis and ensuring all repairs and maintenance comply with national and international standards, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The position requires knowledge in airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) components.

Requirements

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
Must have own tools in good working order.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.
Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 4 or more years of relevant experience; A higher-level degree may substitute for experience; Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Responsibilities

Repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts.
Perform necessary checks in regard to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft.
Testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts.
Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced.
Ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop.
Demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.
