About The Position

DPP is seeking an A&P Mechanic III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This role involves repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key aircraft components. The A&P Mechanic III will perform necessary checks on mechanical and functional components, including testing and replacing defective parts. This position requires the use of various tools and equipment for diagnosis and repair, ensuring compliance with national and international standards while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The role demands knowledge in airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) components.

Requirements

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
Must have own tools in good working order.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.
Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
Current/active Secret clearance.
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Class 3 Physical certification
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification

Nice To Haves

FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Responsibilities

Repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircraft.
Perform the necessary checks regarding the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts.
Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced.
Ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop.
Demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.
