About The Position

The Accounts Payable/Receivable (A/P, A/R) and Payroll Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, and handling accounts payable and receivable functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and payroll administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
  • Experience with dealership accounting software (PBS or similar) is an asset.
  • Prior dealership accounting experience is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with OEM statement (Nissan, Honda, Ford, Chrysler, etc.) posting is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Accurately code invoices and record transactions.
  • Handle expense reports and credit card bills.
  • Manage semi-monthly payroll processing, including time tracking, deductions, and benefit administration.
  • Prepare annual T4 statements.
  • Responsible for benefit and pension administration.
  • Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits and reporting.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Match vendor statements with AP records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process the monthly OEM statement.
