Requirements

• Must have all the qualifications of an Automotive & Equipment Service Worker.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience as an Automotive & Equipment Service Worker, or the equivalent.
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Automotive & Equipment Mechanic assessment.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, drivetrain systems, starting systems, charging systems, electrical systems, chassis systems, power plant/engine, and alternative fuel systems.
• Diagnosing vehicle systems, including the use of all types of diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Making minor repairs to booms, buckets, and vehicle equipment bodies.
• Performing routine inspections of manlifts and aerial devices.
• Performing all material lift inspections.
• Performing SMAW (Stick) and GMAW (MIG) non-structural welding.
• Performing acetylene cutting, heating, and brazing.
• Accessing and using fleet operating systems and service information platforms.
• Performing other similar or related work.
