About The Position
The 8th Grade Wrestling Assistant Coach assists with supervision and the operation of the sports program for the temporary 2026–27 wrestling season. The position is scheduled to start January 11, 2027, during Winter II. Responsibilities include supporting team selection, discipline, coaching, safety, equipment, scheduling, recordkeeping, and transportation arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervision of all aspects of the sports program.
- Select players for the team.
- Maintain team discipline and WIAA standards.
- Coach individual participants in the skills needed to achieve excellence in the sport.
- Model and encourage good sportsmanship.
- Explain eligibility requirements and participation rules to student athletes.
- Provide requested information to the athletics coordinator.
- Maintain equipment inventory and upkeep.
- Schedule practices.
- Oversee safety and required recordkeeping.
- Oversee transportation arrangements for team members.
