About The Position

The Assistant Coach at the middle school level supports the Head Coach in directing the education, leadership, supervision, and organization of the assigned sport or activity. This is a one-season-only position running from 10/27/26 through 12/18/26. Additional compensation is provided for an extended season. Insurance, retirement, and paid leave benefits are not offered.

Requirements

• First Aid/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise athletes before, during, and after practices, conditioning sessions, games, travel, and other school-sanctioned events as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Maintain current knowledge of national, state, league, and District rules and regulations related to the sport or activity, student participation, and parent/community involvement.
• Teach and emphasize safety procedures and precautions to athletes daily throughout the season.
• Immediately report injuries using the Accident Report Form and established process, and communicate with staff about injuries and return-to-play timelines.
• Report violations or suspected violations of established rules and regulations to the Head Coach.
• Assist other personnel as required to support completion of their work activities.
• Participate in meetings and professional development to receive or provide information and/or meet credential requirements.
