Responsibilities

  • Implement Universal’s curriculum and instructional strategies and utilize classroom routines and procedures with consistency.
  • Develop rigorous lesson plans, homework assignments, and assessments in accordance with established procedures.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations.
  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
  • Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data and use data to inform instruction.
  • Collaborate in grade-level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, and ensure student mastery of standards.
  • Form and maintain relationships with students’ families, including phone calls and conferences.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Perform related work as required.
